I've been creating websites since 1996, first as a collaborator, and in 1999 starting my own website design firm. For me, website design and search engine optimization go hand in hand - a site that is designed on aesthetics first, then optimized as an afterthought has an inherent disadvantage.
The ideal website is designed with the proper information architecture good practices first, aesthetics second. This does not mean that you need to create an unattractive site, simply that a well-designed site puts usability over visual impact.
What can Patrick Deese do for you?
I prefer to work with a limited amount of web design/SEO clients, in order to avoid overextending my commitments. However, I do make time available for consulting work, which allows me to assist site owners with specific projects and tasks. This consulting work includes search engine optimization assessment, the creation of website templates, link development and other web related tasks that will allow the owner to implement recommended changes themselves.
